East Coast FM – Coffee Morning
Earlier today, my local radio station East Coast FM organised a county-wide coffee morning in aid of County Wicklow Cancer Support. So to lend my support, I brought along my camera to Kavanagh’s pub in Roundwood village. The organisers were delighted with both the level of turnout and the amount of money raised for cancer support.
World snooker champion Ken Doherty was there to support the event and many other famous faces were present at the other coffee morning locations held throughout County Wicklow.
Here is a short clip from the coffee morning in Roundwood:

Lisa & Nick
Lisa & Nick tied the knot in Raheny and afterwards held their reception in The Summerhill House Hotel in Enniskerry, Co. Wicklow. I only live 15 minutes away from this venue! Both Lisa & Nick opted for a black & white version of their highlights – a lovely classical memory of their big day. Photographer on the day was Andrew Miller, a true gent to work with.
The clip is set to Tom Baxter – Better, the very same track was used for Sandra and Colm in my last uploaded wedding clip. Couples choose their own music and given that this is the perfect wedding song, I’m not suprised that it was randomly selected twice in a row! It fits perfectly.

Barberstown Castle : Wedding Ceremony & Reception

This was the moment just after Michelle and Mike were pronounced husband and wife after a beautiful wedding ceremony at Barberstown Castle, Straffan, Co. Kildare earlier today.
Michelle was a laugh a minute all day. Mike was clearly enjoying every second! Eddie Scheffer was the wedding photographer. I had met Eddie before in a previous life but in a social situation as opposed to a work situation. So today was our first wedding working together and naturally we got on like a house on fire. I really liked Eddie’s relaxed and professional approach to the day. He was a quick shooter too, no messing about! I look forward to the next time that we end up working together.
Barberstown Castle is one of the places that I love to film a wedding. Today I was double blessed because the civil ceremony took place there too – so everything was self-contained. I would imagine that it is difficult for wedding guests not to enjoy themselves at this venue. Lovely decor in a medival but modern style, friendly staff & management and great food are just some of the reasons that make this a great wedding venue. Always a pleasure to work in.

The only way is up!

Not to blow our own trumpets here, but at Keith Malone Wedding Films, we’re already acknowledged market leaders by our peers in wedding videographer land. But…….. we’re still not happy!
We want to up our game even more and to do this, we have a few tricks up our sleeves. Not much more can be said at this point, you’ll understand that we need to play our cards close to our chests. But coming soon, we’ll be bringing about some cool new changes that will hopefully raise the bar for Irish wedding videography.
Exciting times ahead! Change is good. Good for us and good for the customer!

Tulfarris House, Blessington Lakes, Wicklow

Chloe & Dave met in Australia on Valentines Day, 14th February 2005 and had their amazing wedding reception in Tulfarris House overlooking the Blessington Lakes exactly 4 years later. Everyone was blessed with the weather. Considering we had just come out of 2 weeks of snow, the only trace of snow left on Saturday was on the mountains behind the lakes – a breathtaking backdrop.
Chloe & Dave were great to work with on the day, both were good fun and really enjoyed their day. I can’t wait to start editing their footage and putting it together for them. It will be a few weeks though because I’m still working my way through a (getting smaller) backlog.
I almost forgot to talk briefly about Tulfarris House! What a place! It was slightly confusing at first not knowing which building to drive to in order to capture the couple arriving. But once we sorted that out, the management and staff were nothing but professional and welcoming. I look forward to filming more weddings at this venue.
