keithmalone.ie gets a makeover!

Posted by Keith on Saturday, March 6th, 2010

Our new look website is finally here!

Since 2004, Keithmalone.ie has been a very popular website within the Irish wedding industry. Not a single week goes by where we don’t receive a compliment about the site design and layout. Not only that, but people always ask “who designed it for us?” Well we have never outsourced the design of our site to anyone. We have always built it in-house and while this can be a painful exercise at times, we believe it is both challenging and worthwhile. (Not to mention less expensive! ;) )

So, we hope you like our new site and whether you are a prospective bride or groom researching a videographer for your wedding, or another wedding videographer simply looking for inspiration, we hope you enjoy browsing through. We believe the new site is both easier to read and navigate. Our blog is now integrated into the main site itself which simplifies the user experience.

As always, feel free to contact us with any enquiries and brides or grooms can quickly check availability on every single page.

2009 in Review

Posted by Keith on Thursday, December 3rd, 2009

I can hardly believe that it’s almost Christmas again! It’s also that time of the year when we get a chance to reflect on our closing year. Despite the very significant downturn in the Irish economy, 2009 was one of our busiest years yet and our bookings calendar for 2010 is as full now as it always has been for this time of the year. We are happy to note that despite things being financially tighter for couples, they are still not prepared to cut corners on their Wedding DVD and are willing to invest in a high end quality product and service.

2009 saw Keith Malone Wedding Films expanding by taking on additional highly-trained freelance camera operators to help cope with filming demands throughout the year. We also introduced a new multi-camera wedding film package to cater for the high-end wedding market.

Right now, we’re working hard to meet our deadlines for delivering our Autumn weddings in time for Christmas.

Until then, we would like to wish every reader a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year for 2010!

Barberstown Castle Wedding Video – Marie-Louise & John

Posted by Keith on Tuesday, November 24th, 2009

Marie-Louise was in my class in Primary School a couple of decades ago! So I was delighted when we randomly crossed paths again where I would end up filming her wedding day. Both Marie-Louise and John were a pleasure to work with; they let me keep my head down and film their day in my normal discreet way. I loved their choice of music for the DVDs, the old timeless classics are defintely the best. Especially this Tony Bennett number which they chose to accompany their wedding highlights clip. Enjoy!

An Honour and a Privilege

Posted by Keith on Tuesday, September 1st, 2009

I was very pleasantly surprised yesterday when a bride who badly wanted to book me ended up CHANGING HER WEDDING DATE just so I was available to film her wedding! So thanks a million Sinead and Dave, it will be an honour and a privledge to film your wedding when June 2010 comes around.

If you like what you see, book now. (seriously!)

A few weeks ago, I received a call from a bride enquiring whether I was available to film her wedding. She seemed interested in proceeding with a booking but wanted to think about it for another day or two. I explained to her that I receive many enquiries every day and I can only reserve a date upon receipt of a booking fee and it’s strictly on a first come, first served basis.

A few weeks pass and the same bride just rang me again today to check if I was still available. She genuinely sounded gutted when I had to tell her that her wedding date had been booked by somebody else because I was not expecting to hear back from her after so long. She jokingly asked if I would consider refunding the other bride’s deposit!!!

Anyway, the point of this post is to say that when it comes to ANY supplier, if you like what you see, chances are that others will too. If only I had a penny for every time that I’ve wanted to clone myself and film numerous weddings on the same day!
